THEATRE
The Fine Arts department performs two annual productions, usually a play in the fall and a musical in the spring. Performers as well as stage crew members are needed.
Requirements: Open to all students. You must audition for play and musical parts. If interested in stage crew, inquire for available positions.

VOCAL
Advanced Choir
Curricular ensemble for singers who have learned basic sight-singing and vocal technique. This ensemble is audition based. Class meets daily, and the students typically perform three-to-four concerts a year in addition to participating in ISSMA adjudicated competition. Performances occur outside the normal school day (typically on weekends). This ensemble also acts as the Liturgical Choir for school Masses. Opportunities for other auditions and solo opportunities are also available through this course. This is a weighted course for 3rd and 4th year in choir.
Beginning/Intermediate Choir

This ensemble also acts as the Liturgical Choir for school Masses.
Show Choir - Summit Sound
Mixed Show Choir competing throughout the Midwest from January through March. This is a 2-credit ensemble for singers/dancers rehearsing evenings and weekends. Members sing, dance, and perform many genres of music.
Requirements: Auditions are required.
Cost: $500/singer/dancer. This covers about a third of the actual cost of this competitive ensemble.

Show Choir Band - The Bowtie Mafia
The Show Choir Band is a small instrument ensemble that accompanies The Summit Sound show choir. Pop, rock, jazz, and musical theatre genres are played in this ensemble. This is a 2-credit class.
Activities: Evening rehearsals begin in October. Competitions are held on Saturdays, January through March.
Requirements: Meet with the director/recommendation from your band teacher or other music teacher.
Cost: $375/band member. This covers about a third of the actual cost of this competitive ensemble.

Show Choir Crew
The crew handles all things related to production. This may include hair, make-up, maintaining equipment, loading and unloading, set-up and tear-down, set changes, help with quick changes, special effects, lights, general maintenance in the uniform and show choir rooms, maintaining costumes including ironing and some sewing. Design input is welcome.
No Audition. See director for available positions.
Cost: $250 to cover travel expenses, uniforms, rehearsal snacks and meals.
