October 9

  • Philomena's Friends will meet next Tuesday, October 14 in the Library at 3:10pm.  Please bring your supplies if you have them.  If you missed the call out meeting, please feel free to come  and join us.  All are welcome - no experience needed - we will teach you how to knit or crochet!
  • Attention:  Juniors and Seniors:
    Only two weeks left of college visits here at Bishop Dwenger. The colleges visiting next week are:    ST. FRANCIS  Monday 10/12  3rd period,  PFW  Tuesday 10/13  2nd period and  HILLSDALE COLLEGE  Thursday 10/15 7th period.    Let Mrs. Stefanek in the Guidance office know if you have any questions. 
  • Attention BDHS Students, you are welcome to attend the call out meeting for the BDHS Winter Guard on Tuesday, October 20th in the band room at 6pm. No experience is needed. We will teach you.
    Don’t miss out on joining this state finalist group! See you on Tuesday, October 20th. You can also sign up outside the band room at room #160.
  • We have a call out meeting for Monday, October 12th for the Winter Drum Line. Please attend the call out meeting 3:30pm-4:30pm in the band.
    We also need you to sign-up outside the band room at room # 160. Do not miss this opportunity of joining a group that has state finalist multiple times within the past 10 years. We would like to see you on Monday, October 12th!

October 7

  • SENIORS:  Jostens will be here Thursday, October 8 in the SAC Lobby for you to pick up your orders for caps, gowns, and any other items you may have purchased.  Stop by the lobby during your lunch to pick it all up.
  • Any student signed up to go on the FBLA Pacer's field trip - please see Mrs. Lewis to get your permission slip.  Please stop by room 113.
  • Attention BDHS Medical Club: Our next meeting will be tomorrow at 7AM before school in the library. We will be practicing visual screenings and eye exams in preparation for our community outreach at the Open House on Tuesday, October 20th.
  • Swim evaluations will begin today from 4-5 p.m. at HPB.  All swimmers that are new to the team need to attend at least 2 dates.   Please see Coach Weadock with any questions

October 6

October 5

  • The library will be closed after school today and before school tomorrow. Please plan accordingly.
  • Attention Spell Bowl Team members!  There are no virtual competitions this week.  We are on a normal practice schedule this week;  Tuesday 730 in Mr. Spy's room and Thursday 730 in Mrs. Pflueger's room.  See you there!
  • Attention all juniors or seniors who were invited to apply for NHS:
    You MUST attend an informational meeting in the library either after school on Monday (today) or promptly starting at 7:15 on Tuesday morning.  Bring your computers.  Remember admittance to NHS is also based on being responsible and meeting the required deadlines.

October 2nd

  • Key Club’s October meeting will be next Monday, October 5th. The meeting will begin at 7:25 in the cafeteria. All are still welcome to join and if you are unable to attend the meeting or have any questions you can see Mrs. Horne in Guidance.
  • Swim evaluations will be on Oct 7th, 14th, 19th and 21st from 4-5 p.m. at HPB.  All new to the team swimmers need to attend at least 2 dates.   Please see Coach Weadock with any questions.
  • The Philosophy Club will meet on Tuesday, October 6 at 3:10 p.m. in Room 111.  Please bring an object of beauty, be it art, music, or poetry.
    We will vote on the most beautiful object and the person with the highest number of votes will receive something beautiful in return.

October 1st

  • Student council will have their monthly meeting Friday at 7:20 AM in room 233. If you’re interested in joining student council, you are welcome to attend.
  • Attention:  Praise and Worship team members, we will be meeting tomorrow morning at 7:15 in the choir room to practice. Please message Elizabeth Moran if you have any questions. 
  • Just a reminder: NHS invitation letters were handed out Monday to all junior and senior students who have qualifying GPAs.
    The next step is to complete the Intention to Apply form by this Friday, October 2. This form must be completed by ALL students who intend to apply. Students who are applying must also attend one mandatory application meeting. The meeting options are:If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Potter or Mrs. McTague.
