Daily announcements will be listed here each morning that school is in session. Please check this page often for important information.

May 16

  • The first Driver's Education Class is almost full.  Get your forms from the main office and turn them in on Monday or Tuesday to secure your spot!  See Mrs. Pierson if you have any questions!
  • When you are cleaning out your lockers, make sure you grab any decorations from above your lockers or they will be thrown away.
  • Mass will be offered on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning of finals week at 7:15am each day. The Mass on Monday morning will especially be for those who are doing the 33-day Marian consecration. If you received a book for the consecration, please plan on attending Mass on Monday morning.
  • Juniors if you purchased a picture from Junior Day please pick it up from Mrs. Long in room 233.
  • As you clean out your lockers, please bring to any classroom that hosts a school supplies donation sign any gently used or unused supplies from this year. If you have any questions regarding your items, please come see Mrs. Walker in room 112.

May 15

  • Attention students signed up for AP Literature & Composition next school year:
    Please stop by room 102 in the English hallway to pick up a copy of your summer reading.  The response questions will be posted on the BD website later this summer.
  • Come out and support the Men's Rugby teamtonight at 6:30pm.  JV game will start at 7:30pm at Shield's Field.
  • There will be a Girls Basketball Call Out Meeting on Monday for 12:45 in the cafeteria.
  • Help is needed for our Baccalaureate Mass to be held on Thursday, May 23 at 10:30am at St. Vincent's.  
    We are in need of SERVERS, LECTORS, and EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS.   Please see Mr. Garrett in Pastoral Ministry if able to assist.
  • Baseball players need to stop in and see Mr. Garrett before you leave today to pick up your pictures.
  • There will be a Call-Out meeting today in the Library for all girls interested in playing Soccer in the Fall, new and returning players.  

May 14

  • There will be a Health Summer School meeting after school today at 3:10 in room 106.
  • Come out and support the Men's Rugby team tomorrow at 6:30pm.  JV game will start at 7:30pm at Shield's Field.
  • Attention BDHS Medical Club Members:  If you signed up for CPR certification, please check your email for an important message from Mr. Quigley.

  • 235 boxes of cereal were collected for Ave Maria House.  They will be so grateful to receive these boxes of cereal and because of your efforts they will be able to help feed the homeless breakfast for 33 1/2 days!  Thank you to everyone who donated this year ~ WAY TO GO SAINTS!
  • SEA will be collecting recycling for the whole building today after school. All are welcome to help with sorting and earning their service hours for the next school year. Teacher please place your bins in the halls by the end of the period. 
    While we will not be collecting any more recycling for the school year like we normally do, the clean-up from this year has just begun. Anyone is welcome to stop in for about 15 to 20 minutes each day after school to help with going through the items that we are being brought in. PLEASE keep dropping off those gently used or unused school supplies as they help so many people. Trash bash is just over a week away! It will be on Thursday from 9 am till 1 pm. Doughnuts and pizza will be provided to those who come to earn their service hours. We will also have the chance to earn prizes for those who participate! All are welcome and if you have any questions regarding these events, please see Mrs. Walker.

May 13

  • Last Call for cereal boxes - we will accept more donations tomorrow morning - delivery will be made tomorrow afternoon.  Thank you to all that have donated so far!  We will have a count of boxes tomorrow!
  • There will be a Health Summer School meeting Tuesday at 3:10 in room 106.
  • We have 6 extra senior yard signs available for purchase. Please see Mrs. Lewis ASAP if interested. 
  • It is time to announce the 2024/2025 FBLA officer team.  Please give a huge congratulations to:
    Grace Connell as our President Bridgette Haynes as our Executive Vice President David Khual & Allyson Kelker as our Co-Vice Presidents and Ashley Myers as our Secretary. Congrats to all!
  • Philomena's Friends will have their end of the year party tomorrow after school.  See Mrs. Pierson if you have any questions.
  • There will be a meeting for Summer ECON in Mr. O'Sullivan's room (ROOM 216) on Tuesday May 14th.  Students enrolled in the summer class are expected to attend the before school meeting at 7:25 OR afterschool meeting at 3:05.  If you can't attend either meeting, please meet with Mr. O'Sullivan in room 216.

  • SEA will be hosting Trash Bash on May 23 from 9 till 1. Please come join us sort through end of year recycling, earn list or flex hours for service, have some food and maybe win a prize or two! 
    SEA will be collecting recycling for the WHOLE BUILDING tomorrow. This is the last after school recycling for this school year. All are welcome to join us in assisting keep our building green.

May 10

  • We have  collected 153 boxes of cereal for Ave Maria House...we doubled the number that we had from yesterday!  We will keep the collection open until Monday - let's see if we can double our current number - and reach at least a total of 300 boxes of cereal!  Go shopping this weekend if you can!  GO SAINTS!

  • Bishop Dwenger Show Choir will be holding a workshop and auditions today and tomorrow after school in the choir room.  Are you thinking it looks like fun but not sure?  Come on Thursday to learn the music and moves and test it out before the Friday auditions!  This is a credited class but still meets after school.  There are no cuts!  All are welcome!
  • Keep bringing in those cereal boxes!  We have only collected 70 boxes!  We still need 430 to go - these help to feed the homeless in our city. Each morning Ave Maria House offers breakfast and goes through around 7 boxes of cereal!  While 70 boxes is awesome - that will only last them 10 days!  Please help if you can!

May 8

May 7

  • This is a reminder to AP English Lit students that you need to be here tomorrow morning at normal school start time for your AP exam. Please be in your testing room and ready to go no later than 8:00 a.m.

May 3

  • Friday school detention is in room 123 today.  Check in is 2:35.  Doors close promptly at 2:45 so do not be late!
  • Attention those Driver's Education students that are taking your final driving test this weekend:  please be on time as we have a very tight schedule.

  • The Student Council is hoping to collect 500 or more boxes of cereal for Ave Maria House.  Ave Maria House works in conjunction with St. Mary’s Soup Kitchen to feed the homeless in our city. Each morning Ave Maria House offers breakfast and goes through around 7 boxes of cereal. In an effort to stock Ave Maria House for summer we are asking the students of BDHS to bring in a box or two of your favorite cereal. 500 boxes of cereal will help Ave Maria House feed the homeless for 71 days. This is a simple way to live the Work of Mercy of feeding the hungry! All boxes of cereal can be dropped off either in Mrs. Yanez’s room, 223, or in Ms. Wolf’s room, 123.


May 2

  • JV Baseball is cancelled for tonight - no game/no practice - see team email for details.  
    Varsity Baseball is still scheduled to play South Side as already scheduled.
  • Boys Golf Team, please stop by the AD's office after 2:15 or before you leave today to pick up a team shirt. 
  • Mrs. Ray is looking for several sophomores and juniors that are interested in being ushers for graduation. Ushers would earn flex service hours for next year. Please check the sophomore and  junior canvas page announcements for more information or stop in to see Mrs. Ray in room 214 if you have questions. 
  • Seniors: today and tomorrow are the last days to purchase prom tickets! If you haven't purchased tickets, you can do so using the jotform or in Ms. Wolf's room, room 123, before or after school today and tomorrow with CHECK ONLY!
  • All library books are due May 7.  If you do not turn in your library book, it will be marked as lost and you will be charged to replace it.  Remember, if you have any outstanding charges, your report card and/or diploma will be held until they are taken care of.

May 1

  • Thank you for all who donated books for Healthier Moms & Babies and The Women's Care Center book drive.  We surpassed the goal of 100!  In fact, we collected over 1800 books.  The dress down day is TOMORROW, May 2nd!
  • Book Club members, please go to Canvas, read the announcement from today, and take the attached quiz.

April 30

  • Seniors: This is your last week to purchase tickets for Prom! The jotform link closes on May 3rd . Tickets needing to be purchased with CHECK ONLY , can be purchased Thursday and Friday before and after school this week in Room 123 Ms. Wolf's room. All documentation is necessary to purchase tickets.
  • Seniors - please take the senior superlatives quiz found on Canvas by May 6th.  This quiz will help to decide senior superlatives in the 2024 yearbook.
  • Student Government: If you still need flex hours, meet in Mrs. Yanez's room today after school to help with Prom tickets.
  • Please join us this Tuesday & Thursday for Spring Basketball Clinics. Today we will meet in the main gym from 3-4:30. Both boys and girls are welcome. See Mr. Lewis with any questions.

April 29

  • Student council members helping with organizing our storage space, the session for Today is now canceled but we will still meet in room 112 on Wednesday as discussed. 
  • SEA will be collecting recycling on Tuesday and Wednesday this week after school. please meet in room 112 at 3:05 to get started...  For all SEA members looking to possibly be a chair for the upcoming school year, The google form is live on our canvas page. Please go and check it out! 
  • Volunteers are needed for our All School Mass on Friday.  Please sign up outside the Chapel.
  • Attention all Tutors for the Euell Wilson Center this school year: 
    Please come to the SAC lobby for your lunch on Tuesday, April 30th.  We'll be celebrating your efforts this year,

April 26

  • Today is the LAST DAY to order the yearbook.  Go to bdyearbook.com to do so.
  • Next week on Tuesday April 30th during 2nd period a representative from Sweet Aviation will be here to discuss career opportunities that exist in aviation and the training necessary to become a pilot. If this is something you are interested in learning more about, please stop by the guidance office before Tuesday and pick up a permission slip form. Sky is the limit Saints, go reach it!
  • Come support our boys rugby team TONIGHT @ Shields Field.  JV at 6pm and Varsity at 7:30.
  • Come to our Musical the Secret Garden on Friday/ Saturday at 7PM, 4/26-27. Tickets at $10 at the door and $5 for students.  Come out and support the Performing Arts!
  • There will be a call out meeting for any BDHS high school students interested in joining color guard (includes dance choreography too), drum line or marching band on May 9th at 7pm in the band room. We do not make cuts. Everyone is welcome to join. Starting this coming school year, you can earn fine arts credits! If you are interested and cannot attend the meeting, please see Mr. Cochran.

  • The time has come to submit portraits and group shots for the video to be played at graduation. Every student is recognized whether or not each Senior submits a picture but if you choose not to, your Senior's school picture will be used. All photos are subject to review by administration and will not be used if deemed inappropriate. If you have not yet taken senior photos or do not want to submit any, please email bdseniors2024@gmail.com. Photos are due by May 1st.

April 25

If an individual senior photo is not submitted, your yearbook photo will be used. If you have not had senior photos taken by May 1st, please email bdseniors2024@gmail.com. If you would like to add group candid photos, those can also be added to the same link. You can find the submission link on the Senior Canvas page and in the Halo bulletin. All photos need to be submitted by May 1st.
