- Attention: Juniors and Seniors
Starting this week and over the next month, there will be representatives here from several different colleges and universities to visit and chat with you about their schools and programs. This is a great opportunity for you to meet with admission representatives from various colleges and universities across the country right here at Bishop Dwenger! All these visits will take place in the Guidance Office unless otherwise noted. Check your canvas messages for more details and dates and times. If you are interested in meeting with any college rep you will need to stop by and see Mrs. Stefanek in the Guidance Office to pick up a permission slip formed to be signed by your teacher. - A representative from Indiana University will be stopping by Dwenger on Tuesday, September 22 during 1st period. Stop by the Guidance Office and see Mrs. Stefanek if you are interested in attending.
September 17
- Just a friendly reminder to students that recycling will happen after school today. We will be meeting in Mrs. Wheeler's classroom at 3:05. Many hands make light work, and you also can get service hours for volunteering. Thanks for helping make Dwenger a greener place.

- The bowling team is still looking for more members to join the team. We have practices every Monday and Tuesday at MVP Lanes right after school at 3:30 PM. We would love to have you join us regardless of your experience with bowling. Join us next Monday!
- Seniors, it's time to nominate members of your class for the 2026 Homecoming Court. Go to the Senior Canvas page and read your announcement for directions. Nominations are open Monday - Thursday at 3pm. The court will be announced Friday at the end of the day.
- A representative from Indiana University will be stopping by Dwenger on Tuesday, September 22 during 1st period. Stop by the Guidance Office and see Mrs. Stefanek if you are interested in attending.
- Holy Night Helpers is a local nonprofit organization serving Catholic families in the Fort Wayne area. They are looking for one to two people to help with their social media presence on multiple platforms. This is a great opportunity for someone with might be interested in a career in marketing, media, and graphic design. In addition to earning list hours for your service, the holy Night Helpers leadership team would be happy to write college recommendation letters on behalf of their organization. If you have any questions, see Ms. Wolf in Pastoral Ministry
- The St. Vincent de Paul Walk for Hope will be on Sunday, September 20th at Parkview Field. They are in need of about 10 students to help at the Volunteer Check-in Station. You will be volunteering from 1:45 - 4:30pm that day. You will be handing out t-shirts, maps, and waters during the registration period and then helping to direct people along the walking route and/or participate in the walk this year! All volunteers will receive a t-shirt, a Pizza Hut coupon, and water/snacks. Please see Ms. Wolf in Pastoral Ministry is you have any questions.
- The 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer's is on Saturday, October 3rd at Parkview Field. Heartland Hospice is looking for volunteers to help in multiple ways throughout the day. If you are looking for a fun way to earn list hours, this may be a great service project for you! See Ms. Wolf in Pastoral Ministry if you have questions.
- Euell Wilson Tutors… make sure you sign up on the Mobile Serve app is you plan to attend tutoring next Tuesday. You also need to make sure you have turned in a permission slip for this school year. Permission slips can be picked up from Ms. Wolf in Pastoral Ministry. If you are looking for a fun and easy way to earn list hours, consider becoming a Euell Wilson tutor!

- NHS Tournament Day is a week away!
Sign up for the tournament play will begin during all lunches today. Spots fill up quickly, so don’t delay. Each sign up is $2—and you must sign up the entire time in order to enter the tournament. Cornhole 2-person team Dodgeball 5-person co-ed team Volleyball 6-person co-ed team Pickleball 2-person team Vido Games individual sign up—we will play Smash Bros., Mario Cart, and Shredders Revenge Table Tennis individual sign up Sideway Chalk Art individual sign up Free Events: Board games, scavenger hunt, grab the mic, praise & worship Plinko will be drop-in play for $1 as well Beverages & baked goods will be for sale during lunches & tournament time for $1 Get your teams together and sign up! - The Discipleship Club will be meeting tomorrow morning at 7:20 in the library! - Euell Wilson tutors: if you were planning on joining us today to tutor at the Euell Wilson center, you need to have turned in your permission slip and also signed up for a spot on the bus through the mobile serve app. There are still some spots available if you would like to go. The bus will be loading after school at the Mary grotto at the front of the school. Make sure you are on the bus by 3:10. If you have any questions, see Ms. Wolf pastoral ministry.

Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, or do you still need to receive Baptism, your First Communion, or Confirmation? If so, OCIA is for you! The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is starting up for the 2026-2027 school year. We will be available on Tuesday, September 15 and Tuesday, September 22 during all lunch periods in Pastoral Ministry to discuss and answer any questions you may have as well as get you moving in the process if you are interested. See Mr. Garrett in Pastoral Ministry if you have any questions. Saints for Life will be meeting on Tuesday, September 15th at 7:20 am in room 218. Saints for Life do various activities in our school, community, and state to help promote the dignity of all lives from womb to tomb. If joining the March for Life at the state and local level, praying for an end to abortion and the death penalty, sharing the message of Pope Saint John Paul II's call to a "culture of life" speaks to your heart, then this is a great club for you to join. - Key Club’s September meeting will be next Monday, September 14th. The meeting will begin at 7:25 in the cafeteria. All are still welcome to join even if you missed our call out meeting last month. If you are unable to attend the meeting or have any questions, see Mrs. Horne in Guidance.
