Well if you answered yes to one of those questions, there will be a call out meeting for Philomena's Friends next Tuesday, September 29th in the Library at 3:05pm. This meeting will be short, about 10 minutes. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Pierson in the Main Office. No experience necessary - we will teach you!

Development is in need of a few more student volunteers for this Saturday's Hall of Fame. If you can help be a dinner server and clean-up after the event, please contact Mrs. Shively in Development.
Attention BDHS Medical Club: We are still in need of student volunteers at the blood pressure screening station before the Homecoming Football game tomorrow, Friday, September 25th. The station will be open from 5-7pm. Please see Mr. Quigley in room 235 (upstairs above the new CTE wing) to sign up for a half hour time slot.

The college reps that will be visiting Bishop Dwenger next week are Monday 9/28 : Notre Dame at 3rd period, Tuesday, 9/29: Ohio Northern University during 6th period and I Thursday, 10/01: Indiana Tech for 2nd period.. The 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer's is on Saturday, October 3rd at Parkview Field. Heartland Hospice is looking for volunteers to help in multiple ways throughout the day. If you are looking for a fun way to earn list hours, this may be a great service project for you! See Ms. Wolf in Pastoral Ministry if you have questions.
St. Jude Catholic Church is looking for volunteer catechist to help with evening Religious Education classes. They need 1-2 volunteers to teach their combined kindergarten and first grade class. Classes are held on Tuesday evenings beginning with the 6 pm mass. After mass, classes walk over to the school and are dismissed at 7:45 pm. The K/First classes are set to begin on Oct. 6th. Please see Ms. Wolf in Pastoral Ministry if you are interested in this LIST hour opportunity.

We will be practicing blood pressure screenings in preparation for our community outreach at the Homecoming Football game this Friday. We will need at least 20 students to volunteer on Friday.
The Business Department is looking for 16 junior and senior students to volunteer for this semester’s Junior Achievement field trip on October 5th. You do not need to be a member of FBLA to volunteer!
Volunteers will work in pairs to help lead students through the JA activities and will miss 1st through 5th periods that day as an excused field trip. If you and a partner would like to volunteer, please see Mrs. Weadock or Mrs. Lewis as soon as possible, so we can add you to the volunteer list. We couldn’t make this field trip happen without our student volunteers, and we’d love to have you join us!

The girls golf team is going to Regionals! They are advancing after defeating over 8 schools at sectionals! Congratulations Lady Saints!!!
The Boys Basketball team will have conditioning in the Cardio Room today instead of the track, starting at 3:15.

Bishop Dwenger Catholic Relief Services Club will be meeting this Tuesday, September 22, at 7:20 in room 208, Mrs. Hill’s room. Anyone is welcome to find out more about the work of CRS and what service work our club is involved in. If you are interested but not able to attend, stop in room 208 any time for more information.
This week, Bishop Dwenger Student Council is teaming up with Northrop High School for a little friendly competition but the real winners will be our local veterans!
Both schools will be collecting money throughout the week, with 100% of the donations going to Shepherd’s House, a local organization dedicated to supporting veterans as they return home from deployment. Shepherd’s House helps veterans address the challenges they may face as they reintegrate into civilian life and provides support as they work toward stability, independence, and a successful future. Theology teachers will have collection bins in their classrooms throughout the week, so bring in your cash and help Bishop Dwenger support this incredible organization! Because Bishop Dwenger and Northrop have very different student populations, the competition will be based on the amount raised per school rather than simply the total amount collected. This gives both schools an equal shot at earning the bragging rights! LET’S SEE WHICH SCHOOL CAN RAISE THE MOST PER STUDENT! Every dollar counts. Every donation helps. And regardless of which school wins the competition, Shepherd’s House and our local veterans are the true winners! Come on, Saints let’s show Northrop what Bishop Dwenger can do!

Starting this week and over the next month, there will be representatives here from several different colleges and universities to visit and chat with you about their schools and programs. This is a great opportunity for you to meet with admission representatives from various colleges and universities across the country right here at Bishop Dwenger! All these visits will take place in the Guidance Office unless otherwise noted. Check your canvas messages for more details and dates and times. If you are interested in meeting with any college rep you will need to stop by and see Mrs. Stefanek in the Guidance Office to pick up a permission slip formed to be signed by your teacher.
A representative from Indiana University will be stopping by Dwenger on Tuesday, September 22 during 1st period. Stop by the Guidance Office and see Mrs. Stefanek if you are interested in attending.

They are looking for one to two people to help with their social media presence on multiple platforms. This is a great opportunity for someone with might be interested in a career in marketing, media, and graphic design. In addition to earning list hours for your service, the holy Night Helpers leadership team would be happy to write college recommendation letters on behalf of their organization. The St. Vincent de Paul Walk for Hope will be on Sunday, September 20th at Parkview Field. They are in need of about 10 students to help at the Volunteer Check-in Station. You will be volunteering from 1:45 - 4:30pm that day. You will be handing out t-shirts, maps, and waters during the registration period and then helping to direct people along the walking route and/or participate in the walk this year! NHS Tournament Day is a week away!
Sign up for the tournament play will begin during all lunches today. Spots fill up quickly, so don’t delay. Each sign up is $2—and you must sign up the entire time in order to enter the tournament. Euell Wilson tutors: if you were planning on joining us today to tutor at the Euell Wilson center, you need to have turned in your permission slip and also signed up for a spot on the bus through the mobile serve app. There are still some spots available if you would like to go. The bus will be loading after school at the Mary grotto at the front of the school. Make sure you are on the bus by 3:10. If you have any questions, see Ms. Wolf pastoral ministry.

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is starting up for the 2026-2027 school year. We will be available on Tuesday, September 15 and Tuesday, September 22 during all lunch periods in Pastoral Ministry to discuss and answer any questions you may have as well as get you moving in the process if you are interested. Saints for Life will be meeting on Tuesday, September 15th at 7:20 am in room 218. Saints for Life do various activities in our school, community, and state to help promote the dignity of all lives from womb to tomb. If joining the March for Life at the state and local level, praying for an end to abortion and the death penalty, sharing the message of Pope Saint John Paul II's call to a "culture of life" speaks to your heart, then this is a great club for you to join.
