February 12

  • Science Academic team will meet after school today until 3:30. Please meet in room 112. 
  • Tomorrow there will be a RED OUT $1 dress down day and it is to raise mone for Blood Cancer research, patient care, and policy and advocacy.  Make sure to bring in your dollar - or more - so that you may dress down in RED.
  • Attention all students who signed up to work Saints Alive on Thursday or Saturday night.  There will be a mandatory informational meeting on Wednesday, February 18th after school.  It is a mass day so everyone can attend since we get out early - you will be out by 3:00 just like a normal day.  Coaches are aware of this meeting.  Please head to the cafeteria right after school. 
  • We still have 5 openings for 1st shift waitstaff and only 19 for 2nd shift.  If you can help out from 8:30 until around 11 or 11:30 pm, then the 2nd shift is a great opportunity for you!!  The link is posted in canvas.
  • Driver's Education registration is OPEN!  You can pick up the forms in the Main office - see Mrs. Pierson with any questions.
  • Bishop Dwenger CRS Club will meet tomorrow  morning at 7:20am in room 208.  We have less than one week until Lent, so please stop in to found out about our plans and to grab a donut!
  • Saints Alive! Valets - we will meet next Wednesday for a short meeting after the official Saints Alive! Volunteer meeting after school.  See Mrs. Brady with questions.

February 10

  • Praise and Worship will meet tomorrow starting at 8:20 in the chapel. All are welcome: students, teachers, staff. Join us for a few minutes or stay the whole time. A great way to start your day with Jesus, beautiful music, pray and friends! Hope to see you all there.
  • S.E.A. Will be collecting recycling today and Wednesday after school. Please meet in room 112 to gain any instructional help so we can get started right away. Last week we had a decent turn out for Wednesday but still would love to see more helping hands. We are extending the drawing for the gift card for one more week, Meaning if you help more than once, you have more than one entery!  Hoping to see many faces after school to help make Dwenger a Greener place.

February 9

  • Your BD Winter Guard competed Saturday in the Regional A Class at the IHSCGA contest hosted by Snider HS and were 3rd runner up.
    The winter guard is making great strides in a larger and more competitive class. Their show theme this year is called Treading Water. This coming Saturday, the winter guard will be competing at Dekalb HS.
  • There are five open slots for donating blood tomorrow, February 10th.  If you would like to earn LIST hours, sign up on the Mobile Serve app and pick up a permission slip to donate blood.
  • If you are donating blood tomorrow and have not yet turned in you permission slip, you need to make sure your permission slip is turned in before you are able to donate.  ALSO - Make sure you eat a good breakfast with protein, and drink lots of water to stay hydrated.  Also, make sure that your teacher knows if you are going to miss class.  You are responsible for any missing work.  Check you BD email for a QR code that will allow you to register   early.  You will need a valid ID when you come to donate tomorrow.  If you have any questions, see Ms. Wolf in Pastoral Ministry today.
  • Euell Wilson tutors - if you are planning on attending tutoring tomorrow, make sure you sign up on the Mobile Serve app TODAY.

February 5

  • The Red Cross is experiencing a severe shortage in life-saving blood donations.  If you are 16 years or older, you can help!  There are 7 spots left for the Bishop Dwenger Blood Drive. The blood drive is next Tuesday, February 10th.  Those that volunteer their time earn List hours for their time.  Pick up a permission slip in Pastoral Ministry and sign up for one of those open slots on the Mobile Serve app. 
  • If any student is looking for a fantastic and easy way to earn LIST hours, sign up to be a Euell Wilson tutor.  Euell Wilson tutoring is on Tuesdays from 3 - 5.  Bishop Dwenger provides transportation to the Euell Wilson Center where BD students spend time helping kindergarten through 5th grade students with homework, reading, coloring, and playing games. If you are in need LIST hours, stop by Pastoral Ministry and pick up a permission slip so you can sign up on the Mobile Serve app to help at the Euell Wilson Center.
  • Euell Wilson tutors... make sure you sign up on the Mobile Serve app to ride the bus to Euell Wilson this coming Tuesday.

The Red Cross is offering an incentive for those that donate! Let’s fill up those remaining slots!

February 3

  • Are you looking for ways to fulfill your service hours?  Become a Euell Wilson tutor!  Euell Wilson tutoring is each Tuesday from 3-5.  BD takes a bus of students down to the Euell Wilson Center, and students pair up with a buddy to help them with homework and reading.  This is an easy way to earn List Hours.  If you would like to become a Euell Wilson tutor, pick up a permission slip from Ms. Wolf in Pastoral Ministry.

  • There are only 11 slots left to donate blood on February 10th.  If you would like to donate, sign up on the Mobile Serve app and pick up the permission slip from Ms. Wolf in Pastoral Ministry. The Red Cross is offering an incentive for blood donors because they are in great need of donations right now.  If you are 16 years or older, you are qualified to donate blood.  Sign up today!
