Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 may choose to take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) if joining the military is one of the student's areas of interest after graduation. Scoring a 31 or higher on the ASVAB satisfies the Postsecondary-Ready Competency required for high school graduation. Click here to view a complete listing of Graduation Pathways requirements. Using the ASVAB to meet this graduation requirement also requires the student to complete the Military Letter of Intent. Click here to view the Military Letter of Intent. This form is NOT for official military purposes and will simply remain in the student's permanent file at Bishop Dwenger. NOTE: Students in grade 10 may take the ASVAB for practice only. The required Military Letter may only accompany an ASVAB taken in grades 11 or 12.
Bishop Dwenger High School will host a school day administration of the ASAVB this spring (date to be determined). Students who are interested in taking the ASAVB must register by Friday, February 16, 2024. Complete the ASVAB registration here. Please contact the Guidance Office with any questions (260) 496-4701.
